Church in Waterford having served as a United Methodist Pastor in the greater Detroit Metropolitan area for nearly 29 years:
Grosse Pointe (Associate) 1984-1992, Oxford 1992-2002, Big Beaver 2002-2013, Waterford Central 2013-Present.
and his wife, Ruth, have been married for 27 years and have four children.
is proud to be an interdisciplinary student earning a degree in Medical Technology from Michigan State, his Master of Divinity
from Boston University and a Masters of Business Administration from Wayne State University. For many years Jack
wrote a column for the Michigan Christian Advocate and has published articles in other magazines on the internet. In
January 2013, he began a Doctorate of Ministry Degree at Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary in the area of Spiritual
Direction and Formation.
Pastor Jack grew up on a farm south
of Adrian and went to school in Morenci. He inherited his “farm work ethic” from his father and his
mother taught him the enduring lesson that it is not our ability that matters to God as much as our availability.
All who follow Christ are called to ministry – not just clergy – and all can find meaning in fulfilling God’s
purpose for their lives.
