What is Stewardship?
Stewardship is giving to God.
Stewardship is a way of life. Stewardship is using the gifts that God has given us to do God's work. Stewardship is giving
of yourself through sharing. Stewardship is not just giving money. It is sharing our time, talent, and treasure.

Why is Stewardship Important?
Stewardship helps take care
of people, the earth, and the church. Sharing our time, talents, and treasures should be thankful response to all that God
has given us. Everyone can be involved in stewardship together.

A Note to Parents...
Throughout the year children will have opportunities to participate in service projects for the church, community,
and world. Children also have the opportunity to share their talents. One way is through the music and dance ministries at
Central.
Parents are encouraged not just to give their children money to fill their envelope, but to teach children
how to be good stewards of their money by encouraging children to give from their money.

Children's Offering Envelopes
Again this year,
children will be receiving their own set of offering envelopes. Each set of envelopes is numbered as has a label with the
child's name on the box. Each envelope has a place to write how children have given to God through their time, talents,
and treasure.
Children will have the opportunity to take turns collecting the offering during Chapel Time.

How can my kids be Stewards?
* Help cook dinner for
a needy family
* Doing lawn work for an elderly neighbor
* Praying
* Participating in the worship service
* Putting out birdseed
* Recycling
* Donating gently used toys and clothing
* Making a pledge to the church
* Participating in fundraisers
* Tithing to the church

How can I teach my children to be good Stewards?

Model positive attitudes about sharing and generosity
* Share with your children how you find joy in your stewardship
activities
* Teach children it is who they are NOT what they have that makes them special
* Teach children that
things do not bring happiness
