Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade will be participating in The
Rock. The model is similar to Vacation Bible School. Children will learn about the same story for 4 weeks using different
methods.
Children will be exploring the Bible using storytelling, drama, puppets, videos, art, cooking, science,
and missions, just to name a few. This hands-on approach will give children the opportunity to learn and retain more.
The Rock will also give adults the opportunity to become more involved in children's ministries. Adults who
have talents and passions in different areas can use their gifts to provide supplies or lead a class.
One of the
advantages of The Rock is that children who are here every other week will still hear the story twice instead of
missing two stories. Another advantage is that children will be engaged and excited to come to The Rock on Sunday
mornings.
