Isn't it amazing how when people hear a call to help, they respond? Our church decided to do something tangible for the people of Haiti by collecting items for Health Kits and by having a Bake Sale sponsored by the kids and youth of the church. Our goal was to have 400 health kits. It looks like we will have over 550! Our Bake Sale raised $364.15! I am in awe of the generosity of the people in our community. How amazing that even in this economic time of instability, people are willing to reach out and show love to others. The thing is... the people of Haiti will be hurting for quite some time. Some people who were affected by Hurricane Katrina are still hurting. There are people in our very backyard who are hurting. What can we do to ease human suffering? Where can our hearts and hands extend to make a difference? Perhaps I am asking too broad a question... What can I do to make a difference?

So, I must admit that I have never blogged before. But, I thought this might be a neat way to share thoughts and questions about Children's Ministries. Families, what questions do you have about raising your child(ren) in a Christian home? Kids, what questions do you have about being a Christian? How does your family share faith?
